SBAC and Other April Updates

Hi Families!

A reminder that April vacation is next week, April 23-April 27. Let’s hope for some real spring weather!

The week we get back from break we will begin SBACs. May 2-4 we will be taking math, and May 9-11 will be ELA. I am asking for some healthy, allergy-aware snacks (fruit, pretzels, etc.), mints, and gum for these days. If this is possible for your family, please send them in with your child. Students will also need headphones for SBAC testing. I will have extras if necessary. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Lastly, we have earned a class celebration! We voted, and Tuesday, May 1 will be Bring a Toy to School Day!

Have a great rest of your week and a restful, relaxing, and fun April break!

Fun-Filled Day

What a day we had! This morning we brainstormed, problem-solved, and worked together to create some amazing forts. In the afternoon, Greenhouse took part in our school-wide celebration of a movement challenge. Each class visited the four classrooms and participated in a different activity. Ask your child to tell you more!

A reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Friday, March 23 for teacher inservice. Enjoy your weekend!

Classroom Celebration

We have filled our jar once again, and this time we voted for Fort Day as our classroom celebration!

This Thursday (3/22) we will create forts in our classroom and spend the afternoon learning and creating in the forts we’ve made. If possible, please encourage your student to bring in sheets and blankets to help build!

Today’s Project

This afternoon we brainstormed positive messages and created encouraging posters to hang around MBS to spread kindness and happiness!

I hope you all have a wonderful break! A reminder that parent-teacher conferences are on March 5 and March 6 if you still need to schedule one. I look forward to seeing you!

Valentine’s Day

We will be having a Valentine’s Day snack on Wednesday afternoon. Treats should be peanut-free and should not have been made in a factory with peanuts.
