Depending on the weather, our plan is to head over to Bayside on Monday 6/18. We will leave MBS after lunch at about 12:00, and leave Bayside to get back in time for Unified Arts at about 1:30. There will be no swimming.
If you are planning on meeting us at Bayside, please call the main office on Monday morning to confirm whether or not we are going.
A reminder that we are headed to Bayside tomorrow! Please look for a notice coming home with more information regarding our field trip. We will leave MBS at 11:00 and leave Bayside to return to school at 2:00. Our class will swim between 12:00-1:00. If you’d like to meet us there, please feel free. We’d love to have you!
I took a count for hot lunch and only two students signed up. Please make sure to send your student with a lunch if they did not sign up for a bagged lunch.
It’s hard to believe that it’s almost June! We have lots of exciting events taking place over the next few weeks. Please be sure to complete and send in your child’s green permission slip and order form for Bayside and the barbeque!
6/8 – Classroom Celebration: Beach Day! Students can bring in sunglasses, beachy outfits, hats, beach balls, towels, floral necklaces, and other beachy (school-appropriate) attire to help celebrate.
6/11 – Fly-Up Day: Students will meet their fourth grade teachers!
6/12 – We will celebrate summer birthdays (late June, July, and August)!
6/14 – Bayside
6/15 – Barbeque
6/19 – Last day of school! Rigatonis will have lunch and recess at our normal time and be dismissed at 12:45.
I will continue to keep you updated as these events get closer!
A reminder that April vacation is next week, April 23-April 27. Let’s hope for some real spring weather!
The week we get back from break we will begin SBACs. May 2-4 we will be taking math, and May 9-11 will be ELA. I am asking for some healthy, allergy-aware snacks (fruit, pretzels, etc.), mints, and gum for these days. If this is possible for your family, please send them in with your child. Students will also need headphones for SBAC testing. I will have extras if necessary. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
Lastly, we have earned a class celebration! We voted, and Tuesday, May 1 will be Bring a Toy to School Day!
Have a great rest of your week and a restful, relaxing, and fun April break!
We have filled our jar once again, and this time we voted for Fort Day as our classroom celebration!
This Thursday (3/22) we will create forts in our classroom and spend the afternoon learning and creating in the forts we’ve made. If possible, please encourage your student to bring in sheets and blankets to help build!
Today we started exploring Seesaw, which is a way to share and communicate with classmates and families! Your child will post to Seesaw to share their learning. Seesaw is private; you’ll only see posts created by your child.

This afternoon we brainstormed positive messages and created encouraging posters to hang around MBS to spread kindness and happiness!
I hope you all have a wonderful break! A reminder that parent-teacher conferences are on March 5 and March 6 if you still need to schedule one. I look forward to seeing you!
We will be having a Valentine’s Day snack on Wednesday afternoon. Treats should be peanut-free and should not have been made in a factory with peanuts.
